After 2 failed attempts and a software update, I finally downloaded the latest photos off of my iPhone. Now it's time to share : )
On Saturday, I made a solo art/craft shopping trek to a land far, far away: Topsfield, MA. The main purpose of my outing was to visit Absolutely Everything. I had to go on Saturday because I had a 20% off coupon that was due to expire and a gift certificate I got for my birthday from my mom. Had to go.
AE can be pretty overwhelming (see: store name). They have all sorts of goodies from rubber stamps to Golden fluid acrylics to scrapbook paper...and everything in between.
I was happy to (finally) be able to put my hands on Landscape Green paint and Multi Medium from the Claudine Hellmuth Studio Line. I also treated myself to a set of BirdCage clear stamps from Basic Grey, the latest issue of Cloth, Paper, Scissors, a few containers of Perfect Pearls and a block of eraser-type material for carving rubber stamps. Thanks to my coupon, I had $4 to spare on my gift certificate. Obviously that means a return trip at some point.
After leaving AE, I headed
down Rt. 1 through Saugus--my new favorite shopping mecca (fortunately it's far enough away that I can't go very often). I checked in at the giant Salvation Army thrift store where I scored 5 wool sweaters in great colors along with a teacup I think I'm going to use for a class I'm taking this weekend. My next stop was Tuesday Morning. I hadn't been in a TM since we moved back from North Carolina. I found some fun KI Memories acrylic stamps and chipboard sets--a number of sets packaged together for *tremendous* value. I'll have to go and check out the TM closer to me at some point, there's also a Savers thrift store next door I haven't been to. So much exploring to do...
I didn't see the sign for Big Lots until it was too late so I proceeded to my final stop of the day: Jo Ann. Now, if this wasn't the best JoAnn I had ever been to in my whole entire life, I might've made it home by the time my husband was expecting me. Sigh. 'Twas not meant to be. The place was awesome and I was an hour (maybe an hour and a half) late. It was huge and had so much stock! I was particularly enamoured with the scrapbooking section
and the Heidi Grace fabric.
Fresh new stuff I'd never seen.
I like fresh and new. I also liked using my 50% off coupon to purchase the new Stuffed publication from Stampington. Loads of cuteness and inspiration in there!
And about 1000% better than the 2 JoAnn stores near me.
I've been using several of my goodies to create this week and am hoping to have a spring shop update early next week. Check back for peeks!
