Once upon a time, I used to make things.
I had a craft studio. Whether it was the one with the two big windows and the built in desk, or the former hot tub room with Mom's recycled kitchen cabinets, or a space tucked into the basement laundry room (right next to the litter box), I had a creative space to call my own.
And I used to make things.
Then I decided that it was imperative that we pack up our bad selves and move 900 miles north.
Don't get me wrong, I still have a craft studio--which I am most grateful for. It's in the basement and lacks natural light but it's bigger than any studio I've had so far and isn't so nice that I have to worry about spilling paint or glue or glitter on the floor. Eventually we plan to finish the basement and then I'll be able to plan my space from the studs up. Within some very limited budget I'm sure ; )
It just seems to be taking a while to get this new studio up and running.
But it's coming along. Nicely, I might add. I love spending time down there. Someday soon I might even be able to share pictures. And the day after I take pictures--I'm gonna make stuff.
Who am I kidding, I don't think I'll be able to wait that long!
For now though I thought I'd share some pictures of some things that I've made in the past. Just a few random projects I came across pictures of today while searching my photos to see what the kids were for Halloween in 2003 (Swan Princess, cowboy and robot).
So here they are, a little blast from my creative (scrapbooking) past...
