We had to be out of the house today for a few hours for a showing (good news) so I took the boys and the dogs for a walk around Davidson College .
We only managed to take up 30 minutes of our 2+ hours, but I got some pretty good pictures just the same.
Things are greening up nicely here, a good bit of rain, some sun and warm temperatures are a good combination for coaxing spring blooms. It feels as though it's been raining a lot though I suppose in the grand scheme of things it really hasn't. Our area is trying to work its way out of the 'Exceptional Drought' we've been in since last year. From late July to December of last year I think it rained a total of an hour at our house. And not heavily. Seriously.
Looking out my window today I could be in the Pacific Northwest, it's overcast and very green. Wait, my mom is in the Pacific Northwest right now. She's attending ArtFest with a group of friends for the 2nd or 3rd time. Lucky girl. If I'm lucky, I might get to visit the vendor faire at Donna Downey's Inspired event next weekend. So many options, so little cash flow. Guess I'm off to create some of my own art.
Have a great weekend!
