Here is my $12 worth of flea market booty from Saturday. And when I say $12, I mean $12 for all these vintage paper goods plus $14 admission for the family plus $40 that Daddy spent taking the kids out to lunch because (shockingly) they were bored at the flea market after an hour. I did bargain the dealer down from $15 though : )
I got a total of 4 antique ledgers, 3 from 1893, one from 1894. The old check was inside one of them. I also collected a pretty Reward of Merit, a flowery Niagara Starch advertising card, some bird/author cards from the 1880s, and two 'we have taken your picture' cards. I'm not sure what I'll be doing with all these lovelies, but I'm thinking an art journal is in my future. Hopefully the near future!
In other paper news, my wonderful Mom sent a few goodies to me as well. I love the vintage paper pack from Pam Garrison. Mom somehow managed to buy her last pack after vendor night at Artfest. Lucky me! She also sent the early Spring issue of La Vie Claire. I'd never seen this magazine before--it is beautiful! Maybe it's my love of the ocean and the fact that "inspired by the sea" is this issue's theme, but I love it. Rounding out the grouping, a Foof-fa-la mat stack from the Easter Bunny via Target.
