15!

Ebby masterminded the agenda for her birthday-day.

She generously invited Bubbe to take her shopping.  Apparently I am no fun to shop with.  At least for clothes.  If she wanted to spend the day looking at housewares or art supplies, that would be a different story.  I was however allowed to gift her with spending money...

Before she left, we had to do our traditional birthday portraits in the backyard. 

The night before (at the Family Party),  Bubbe gifted her with the top she's wearing and these:

After a successful trip to Legacy Place for shopping and lunch, Ebby returned home just in time to welcome Danielle for Phase 2 of her birthday celebration.  And Danielle, well, she brought BALLOONS.  Time for another photo shoot!

I love capturing action shots...though I'm not always successful.

I ended up with plenty of keepers though, like this one:

The next stop for Ebby's birthday caravan of fun:  Duxbury Beach.

Ebby wasn't the only photogenic thing on the beach that night...

The light, the sand and the water provided a lovely backdrop for just a few more pictures of Ebby & Danielle.

Of course it wouldn't be a birthday on the beach (or anywhere, really) without cupcakes.

She may have been wishing that the wind would die down so we wouldn't have to stage the photo of her blowing out her birthday candle.

Or maybe not.

Whatever your birthday wish Ebby, I hope it comes true!

Now they are 12

So the boys had another birthday.  Last month.

Will and Cuyler turned 12, yes indeed.

They started the day off with a specially requested breakfast:  chocolate chip cookie towers...with candles!

Next up, a scavenger hunt for birthday presents.  There were a total of 5 clues with two presents hidden for each clue.

Dogs were kind of a theme.

After a visit from the exterminator (yuck--ants!) and the departure of Bobby Law and Ebby for Boston (another request--that Ebby go out for the day and leave them alone), it was time for the annual Birthday Photo Shoot.

I had to ease them into it, so we used the dogs as props.

At least Jake was looking...

Then we moved on to (and onto) the hammock.

Oh, the sweetness.  And the freckles.

Then time for more goofing around with some funny face photos.

It was a hot day and a visit to our neighbor's pool (Thanks Mrs. R-B!) was welcome respite for the afternoon.  Bubbe joined us and was fascinated by our blue goggles.
