Time to check in with the assorted 4 legged creatures here at Bowlesville on the Hill.
Now that I've moved my art stuff to the dining room, Braids, as I call him, is a frequent visitor. He likes to walk all over the table, find the smallest item (think thread bobbin) and then knock it around with his paws until it falls to the ground. The noise attracts the attention of Maisy. Maisy comes running and Brady flees back to the safe haven of under Ebby's bed. Isn't he handsome though?
Speaking of Maisy, there's a dog who wants not for affection. She is mucho adored by all the children, especially the boys. Imagine their excitement when they managed to coax her onto Cuyler's bed. They called out to me to bring the camera to take pictures, that's how excited they were. After I successfully captured all 3 of them with Maisy they made the following announcement: 'Now we have our Christmas card picture for this year!'
Finally we have the senior member of our menagerie, Jake. At 6 1/2 he has no trouble keeping up with Miss Maisy while hiking in the forest or chasing squirrels in the backyard. All that playtime with the wee, nippy lass can wear a dude out though. That's when he curls up in the doggie chair in the corner of the family room. It is right next to the French door to the deck, so it can be a bit drafty. Luckily he's able to wrap himself up in a Boston College Eagles Snuggie.
What can he say, it's a dog's life after all--and I'm just here to open & close the door when they want to go out.
