we saw in concert last night?
That's right.
BRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCE.
Springsteen and the E Street Band.
And no, I didn't take these pictures. They are courtesy of the Charlotte Observer .
While our seats were close to the stage, we were behind the stage and in the second to last row of the arena so BGD's iPhone pictures aren't quite this good.
No matter though, we had a clear view of the high def video screens and a nearly empty row that gave us plenty of room for dancing. We also had a unique perspective of the crowd facing Bruce in front of the stage. One of the highlights of the show was when Bruce plucked a handmade sign from the audience. He carried it around a bit and then showed it to the crowd. Written on a paper plate was: I like you way better than Hannah Montana. On the other side was a song request, Darlington County. Well, they played it. Then Bruce had the girl come up and sit on the stage with him (she was about 8-10 years old) and he held the microphone while she belted out the chorus. Very cool.
Other than a few distractions in our immediate seating section (bald, drunk, smoking guy, PDA couple with contraband liquor, and delinquent teens who must've thought they were attending an outdoor Grateful Dead concert...) it was a great show.
Bruce rocks.
