Apparently we're a bit banged up here in Bowles land.
Ebby has about 6 large bruises on the back of her thigh, in a line from her hip to her knee. She has no idea how they got there. Pillow fight gone wrong at the slumber party Saturday night?
Will was holding a Pokemon card next to his eye for about an hour yesterday. He finally moved it away at dinner time and I noticed a large scratch right next to his eye (on the side away from his nose, the outer corner) and the beginnings of a bruise to go along with it.
Cuyler has his fair share of bumps and bruises, mostly on his shins. And elbows. Cuyler was twin B in the womb which means he was on top of Will (twin A). I guess Will didn't take too kindly to that because he's been getting even ever since they were born.
There is one member of the family however whom we thought would have a wound today but instead was granted a reprieve.
Yep, it's Little Dog/Sirius/Mopsy that I speak of.
We still have him. He fought back from the brink of being returned to the shelter after a rough night a couple of weeks ago and I do believe he's found himself a permanent home. As such, he was scheduled for his eye surgery today. Eye removal surgery that is. L.D. was npo after 8pm last night. Daddy and Ebby left at 7:30 this morning to drop him off at the vet for his procedure. At 8:15 as I was walking Jake, my phone rang. It was BGD saying he was bringing Little Dog home. He'd spoken with the vet again this morning and conveyed to her that we really didn't feel like the eye was bothering him (LD)--other than the fact that he's definitely blind in it. They agreed that a 2nd opinion from the opthamologist before proceeding with the enucleation would make everyone feel better . Including certainly the doggie opthamologist who I'm sure will be paid handsomely for his/her services. By us.
Our appointment is Thursday morning in South Charlotte.
At that point I may suggest renaming the dog to "Money Pit".
