Today was a big day for Ebby. She invented (as in concocted) her first soft drink. A little background...After finishing one glass of milk at dinner and being told that no, she could not have any Dry Cranberry Ginger Ale to drink, Ebby set out to create something thirst quenching, appealing and delicious. She started out with a generous serving of San Pelligrino sparkling water (about 3/4 of her cup) and then topped it off with Tropicana Low Acid No Pulp Orange Juice. She pronounced it a masterpiece and even came up with a slogan: The vitamins and minerals you need with the soda sparkle kids love
I think I see the next Darrin Stevens on the horizon!
Cuyler had a quiet day. At least at school. His teacher sent a note home that read as follows:
Cuyler is doing very well in class. He is still very quiet, but I'm sure he'll open up soon! He works hard and gives every assignment 100%. I'm enjoying having him in my class!
I for one would like to invite Mrs. Wagner over here at say dinner time, bed time, or generally anytime when school is not in session so she can see for herself how quiet Cuyler is. As for him opening up soon, I wouldn't count on it. I believe she'll be holding on to the illusion that Cuyler is quiet and well behaved for quite some time.
Speaking of well behaved children, let's talk about Will. Turns out that Will is not the only William in his class. He's not even the only William B. in his class. He is William Bowles and his classmate is William Burns. In a revelation that may stun some of you, our Will is the Good Will. Get it? Goodwill. Hee hee. Seriously, he is. Will is well on his way to earning a trip to the classroom treasure box. He is quiet in the hallways and listens to his teacher. William on the other hand ("Burnsie" as Daddy referred to him) went home with a white cougar paw today. Folks, a white cougar paw is b-a-d. A blue cougar paw is good, but white means you p.o.'ed someone during the day. Today apparently it was the music teacher. Burnsie had to be spoken to no fewer than 3 times because he was disrupting class. Tsk tsk. Will tells me he is quiet in his class too. And he sits next to a girl who's name he doesn't know but he doesn't like her. Whoever she is. He does have a good friend in class, Alex. Will told me that Alex "like, loves me" in a 6 year old you're my friend kind of way. Alex was in Cuyler's class last year and I'm wondering if he realizes that Will isn't Cuyler. Eh, who cares. They're buddies and Will is good. We'll embrace it while it lasts.
