Had to take Cuyler to the doctor this morning. He awoke at 3am complaining of an itchy rash. When he woke up this morning, sure enough, his neck, ears, cheek and forearm (and some of his torso) were all reddened up with a fine red rash. Different than the various poison ivy spots he's been nurturing for the last week or so.
I checked in at the doctor and we sat down and waited.
They called Bobby Martin.
They called Amy Smith.
Then they called Q-ler Boyles. Or possibly Cue-ler Boils.
I reprimanded the nurse (I mean gently corrected the nurse) and we went in.
Our visit was rather inconclusive other than yes, he has a rash of unknown origin and no, it isn't scarlet fever. Got a prescription for oral steroids (yes, another one. Can't have Will growing more facial hair than Cuyler) and went on our way.
To the pharmacy. Drive thru.
"What's the name on this?', the pharmacy tech asks.
"Cuyler Bowles"
"Does he go by another first name?", she asks.
Other than Q-ler, no. "No, it's Cuyler, C-u-y-l-e-r."
"Ok. Cuyler Bowler?", she tries.
"Bowles. B-o-w-l-e-s. Cuyler Bowles."
"Is there anyone in the family in the computer?"
I'm thinking she's just lonely and wants to chat now.
"Yes, Robert." As in Bob. As in B-o-b. Did you get that or is your Miracle Ear turned down today??
She starts to read back our address. Correctly.
Paydirt.
And that and $10 will get you your drugs.
At least nobody called him Tyler Bowels. Not today anyway.
