Just 2 months ago Will & Cuyler were not allowed in the pool without their float suits. Tonight they were jumping in and swimming "rows" across the pool (the pool is 6 lanes wide). Completely unassisted by Mommy or any kind of flotation device. Over & over. They have a nice combination stroke--part dog paddle, part underwater, part freestyle and plenty of kick. All I could do was swim along next to them, ready to offer an arm to hold onto if necessary--which most of the time it wasn't. I think they were inspired by the new lifeguard. She helped organize 4 of the older kids and they were playing some pool games, Categories and Sharks & Minnows. Both games require you to swim across the pool. W&C weren't playing but they might as well've been. I am definitely going to get a waterproof disposable camera so I can get some action shots of the swimming-jumping-diving for pool toys boys!
In other, more disturbing news...More than once this week I've spotted Ebby sashay-ing around the house, striking a pose and saying "Hey y'all" in a sweet, scary, come hither, Southern drawl type voice. Gulp.
